舍利弗若国邑聚落自此下尽一百行偈是第二正为中根人譬说开三显一。亦有雨段。如向所明第一是长行。第二是偈颂。今就长行之中自有两段。第一是开譬第二是合譬。今就开譬之中凡开十譬即譬上方便品中十种法说也。十譬者第一从若国邑聚落竟或至三十在此宅中名为宅主。亦詺为总譬总譬诸佛纵论三世横辨十方故言总也。自余九譬唯明释迦。若如此者唯有二譬今总别合数故有十譬也。今者第一旧言宅体今意不然也。此即譬上方便品中今我亦如是安隐众生故下有两行偈。明释迦同诸佛先三后一明化主义也。第二从长者见是大火竟无求出意呼曰长者见火譬。此则譬上方便品中舍利弗当知我以佛眼观有四偈。明佛在法身地。见众生为五浊所昏。第三从舍利弗是长者作是思惟我身手有力竟视父而已詺为长者救子不得譬。此即譬上方便品中我始坐道场六行半偈明佛用大乘化众生不得之意也。第四从尔时长者即作是念此舍已为大火所烧竟诤出火宅。詺为长者用三车救子得譬。此即譬上方便品中寻念过去佛所行方便力有十一行偈。明如来用三乘化得众生。第五从是时长者见诸子等安隐得出竟无复障碍詺为长者见子免难譬。即譬上方便品中第五舍利弗当知我见佛子等志求佛道者。一行偈明如来见众生五浊障除大乘机发。第六从言其心泰然欢喜踊跃二句詺为长者见子出难故欢喜。此即超为方便品中第七作譬。上言我即作是念如来所以出下有两行一句偈。明如来见五浊众生大乘机发故欢喜也。第七从时诸子等各白父言父先所许羊车鹿车牛车愿时赐与詺为诸子索车譬。追为上方便品中第六作譬。上言咸以恭敬心皆来至佛所一偈明三乘人索果回换之意。至下当释。第八从舍利弗尔时长者各赐诸子等一大车以下詺为长者赐大车譬。此即譬上方便品中第八于诸菩萨中正直舍方便但说无上道有三句偈。佛为三乘人说法华记其得佛。第九从是时诸子各乘大车得未曾有非本所望詺为诸子得大车故欢喜譬。即譬上方便品中第九菩萨闻是法疑网皆已除千二百罗汉悉亦当作佛。明三乘人受行大乘之义。第十从舍利弗于汝意云何下明长者先许小车今与大车名不虚妄譬。譬上方便品中第十汝等勿有疑我为诸法王一行半偈。明如来教法不虚妄初始许小终即与大乘有虚妄不虚妄意。至下当释
