天顺七年九月十六日，予自嵩县赴汝州，见一物于中天，淡白，垂长数尺，尾微曲，少顷不见，忽又垂出，闪闪若动，细如数百丈线，人言此龙也。十月二日，自南阳赴邓，将至白马寺。时微雨，且晴。忽见西南有黑物在薄云间，蜿蜒如圈者，其首尾莫可辨，惟身显然，若草书云字之状。忽又有一白物在其下，如乙字，然相去尺许，久之始灭。人皆言龙鬬云。
