《棋诀》一卷，宋刘仲甫撰。仲甫，钱塘人，南渡时国手也。书凡四章，一曰布置，二曰侵凌，三曰用战，四曰取舍。仲甫曰：棋者意同於用兵，故叙此四篇，粗合孙、吴之法。後附论棋杂说，即晏天章《棋经》之末篇，而仲甫为之注者也。案仲甫以弈名一世，而何薳《春渚纪闻》载有祝不疑者胜之。蔡绦《铁围山丛谈》又载有王憨子、晋士明者皆胜之，则其诀亦非出万全。然算数心计之事，大抵皆後胜於前。盖因所已至从而更推所未至，有所藉者易为力也。且盛名之下自负无敌，後来者或乘其暮气之将衰，或乘其骄气之太盛，往往抵隙而入，出所不防，利钝之形，盖由於此。夫孙武能帅师入郢，而不能禁楚之不复郢，则亦非百战百胜者。然十三篇之书，谈兵者莫能外也。仲甫此书，亦可作如是观矣。
